EXPLORING THE CONCEPT OF ‘MOTHER’
THROUGH PSYCHEDELIC EXPERIENCES
THE PROJECT
The project is currently accepting submissions to be included in a collection of personal stories, reflections, poems, art, and other expressions about the intersection between “mother”-related concepts and psychedelics.
This includes (but is not limited to) experiences as a mother, having or not having a mother, relationship with mothers/the concept of “mother” (Nature, Earth, archetypal, sprititual, any!), fertility concerns, reproductive choices, pregnancy, loss, birth, postpartum experiences, parenting, generational harm and healing... and the full spectrum of thoughts and feelings that accompany these and other experiences.
If you have been supported by a psychedelic experience in understanding, coping, healing, or being with the concept of “Mother” in a new way, please share your story. It will be included in a collection that will be gifted back to you and to all who feel connected to it.
Your words, art, expression may just be what someone else needs to feel nourished. Here’s a place to give that gift.

-
respect
This is a project that respects the wholeness of people and experiences. The full exploration of mother-related topics will include loss/gain, love/hate, joy/rage, and all the spaces between and beyond. All parts of you and your experience are welcome here.
We hold awareness and respect for the vulnerability and tenderness of the experiences shared here. All information will be held with confidentiality and respect. Submissions will be shared as “anonymous” unless permission is given to share your name.
-
diversity & inclusion
This is a project that holds awareness that the voices of members of oppressed groups have been and continue to be silenced, diminished, and misconstrued by racist, ableist, sexist, heterosexist, classist, and ageist (among others) systems of oppression. This project seeks to be a platform for all stories to be welcomed, respected, and shared.
-
generosity
This project exists to facilitate and continue a cycle of giving. A psychedelic experience is a gift, given by the universe. Life is a gift, given by a mother and Mother Earth. Sharing your experiences is a gift to others, and perhaps to yourself too. I will be honored to gift a copy of the project to each person who shares their story.
Let’s keep in touch!
